Gods Overcoming Grace is understood as his favor toward us. I know that the Lord is almighty here; but it is not especially a good thing if we are outside his grace and favor. Here in the end of days we find perilous times. A person or a family can face personal challenges so great that it would break them. However, there is a source of favor towards us in challenging times as these. Furthermore, Grace is found in the beginning of the book saying, “Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord”. Then in the last book of the bible it says as well; “the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your all”!

Gods Overcoming Grace for Perilous Times
We find Noah found God’s favor, graciousness, and to put it succinctly the man was well-favored. This enabled Noah to endure the times, following the commands of the Lord, and then the end came for the known world as we know it. The infamous flood allowed only Noah and his family to survive. Of course, this included the animals with him. The word Grace was used when Jacob and Esau met after many years of separation. Jacob wanted to present a gift to his brother Esau. He said “If now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present my hand. ” Gen 33:10. Esau also said to his brother in this conversation “let me find grace” Gen 33:15.
Eph 1:5-7 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, (6) To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. (7) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.
Scripture Grace
Further we find Joseph finding grace in Egypt after he had been sold as a slave. Joseph in all he faced also had grace. Genesis chapter 39 and verse 4 “Joseph found grace in his sight”, here he found favor with Potiphar. Even after Joseph refused Potiphar’s wife who wanted to sleep with him, Joseph found grace in prison. We know for Joseph these trials led him to further blessings as the second in command of all Egypt. The Lord God used the imprisoned Joseph to save Egypt and his own people [Jacob’s line].
Further Moses spoke to the Lord face to face. Through the Lord’s presence we find Moses leading Israel out of Egypt and to the promised land. Yet Moses in Exodus 33:12 is speaking with the Lord concerning details of him going into Egypt to deliver Israel. Here he says of the Lord, “Yet though has said I know thee by name and thou hast also found grace in my sight.” Moses needed God’s favor and had it, even though; he did not realize it. He finally was made aware of it when God confronted him and called him at the burning bush. We find Ruth speaking of grace, David’s story is one of favor and grace. Then we also find Esther going before the King after a three day fast to see the King. It says of Esther “she obtained grace and favor in his sight [King].”
In addition, we find Abraham believing God and it was counted to him for righteousness’s sake.
Grace is found three times in John. But it is found ten times in the book of Acts of the Apostles. Then found twenty times in Romans. Overall, the comfort here is that Grace is that river which flows from God through Christ Jesus. Overall, Grace in the New Testament is found 131 times in 122 verses. The introduction to grace is found in John chapter one where it reveals that Moses gave the law. However, grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Today that grace, through faith brings us into this fellowship of grace and truth.
Joh 1:16-17 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. (17) For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
Scripture Grace and Truth by Jesus Christ
One of my favorite passages is when the early church became large. They were of one heart, one soul; all bonded together in love and faith; believing. The flood of grace, truth, and the miraculous was unstoppable. The whole experience revealed the witness of not only the apostles but the disciples in the church. They gave witness to the power of the resurrection that the gospel and the hope therein of our Lord Jesus Christ was living truth. Thus it says, “great grace was upon them all”!
Act 4:32-33 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. (33) And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
Scripture Apostles, early church, and great grace
A look at Romans tells us the grace was active and not only an experience but a truth. Today we take for granted many things. You should not take lightly the Grace of God. He is watching and his favor rests on those who know him, serve him, and obey him. Even in times of trouble, stress, or facing death his favor is upon us. Paul speaks of justification by faith, which is the ability to walk in and with Jesus Christ. Because of Gods mercy that flowed out of his love for all men; he gave his son to die for our sins. As Abraham believed God and it was counted for righteousness, so too; the sinner can come and believe God; repenting from his sins.
Furthermore, it is in this avenue of faith believing and trusting God at his word we enter that redemptive justification. The written Word and the WORD incarnate Jesus [Yeshua] Christ our Lord are part of that redemptive miracle. The Word of God is the seed planted in men’s hearts. As the Lord said, “My words are Spirit, and they are Life”! So too, when we witness to others these words are spirit when spoken in the anointed witness to which God works with us. Nothing is in vain, nothing is lost, and everything is at stake. But the believer today has access by faith into this grace. It is through this unique union that we stand in Christ Jesus, have fellowship with the Father, and rejoice in that Hope of being with our God and Father and our Lord Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God.
Rom 5:1-2 Therefore being justified by faith; we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (2) By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Scripture Jesus Christ Grace
It is imperative to understand there is no other gospel. The Apostle Paul confronted the Galatians in the first few words of his letter to them. He said, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel.” He follows this with “which is not another”! Of course, here there were those close by to follow up with them after Paul left. The devil is never far away with his lies. Today in America and the western nations, those previously Christianized; I address specially. It is easy to fall aside from the truth and believe me over these many years since taking up the road to the ministry, my wife and I have been confronted with many abominations within the churches.
Today you must stand in Christ as the early church stood. The words, the faith, and what they believed must be found on your lips. There is no other way, method, or tool to get the so-called ‘saved’! We live saying we are ‘saved’, but our actions reveal we are pagans. Today the church is dressed up, acts like, and is mistaken for the paganized hedonistic America we live in. It is time to stand up, speak up, and make sure your bound to Christ. As close as John chapter 15 says, for without the Lord you can do nothing. But with the Lord, nothing is impossible.
Gal 1:6-8 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: (7) Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you and would pervert the gospel of Christ. (8) But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Scripture Grace of Christ
No doubt, and we can see it firsthand in the media, news, television, movies, and daily in the headlines. These things range from murders, rapes, riots, hatred, abortions, and much more. The hedonism and love of self has breached the barrier of idiocy at times. In short, we used to say, “people do the strangest things”! Today, they do far worse than these strange things. We demand rights to abort babies up to the time of birth. We demand that everyone accept the things that is the norm. Many of these are hedonistic and abominable practices. The purpose here is not to cover exhaustively every sin in America or elsewhere. It is that we are in perilous and troubled times. Our families feel the threat of these times daily. You know what I mean and right now you are facing some of these issues.
I am now telling you we serve a God of the impossible and a savior of the miraculous. If you face things that are getting you down in many ways; hold fast and seek the Lord. I do not say this lightly. We can find help, grace, favor, and a way to make it through. I personally believe and a long time ago had made up my heart and mind. I chose to believe that no matter what. No matter what comes, no matter how troubling. I would believe that somehow, someway; the Lord would make a way for me and my loved ones at that time. I encourage you to seek the Lord and find grace, sustaining grace to get you through. Many times, a person can say “I can’t take anymore”. Yet for many they get up the next day and keep going. Believe me, I have said that before. The difference now, I don’t do this in the flesh. I seek the Lord, acknowledge my ways before him, and seek his face. I won’t go to the political establishment, the church, or even friends. First, I will go to the Lord, no matter what. I will seek an answer and I will get one.
Heb 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, which is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. (15) For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. (16) Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Scripture Find Grace to help in time of need, throne of Grace
One of the books I like is Jude. In the first chapter he felt the need to write the believers. He was urging them on because of the common salvation. It is easy to feel like you’re surrounded with no hope. On our advocacy broadcast for the persecuted church, we cover many stories like that. Christians surrounded by those who hate who they are, what they believe, and will stop at nothing to destroy them. Yet many times we find these believers still walking in the Love of Jesus Christ. In some of the hardest places to evangelize we have reported the miraculous from ministries overseas.
Jud 1:3-4 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. (4) For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Scripture Using Grace to persist in lasciviousness and sin
It was Jude’s point to warn them that they must contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints. If we don’t stand for the truth who will? Answer, no one! Sure, someone will stand up with a euthanized version of the gospel, killing off all the doctrinal points. This we cannot have. Jude relates those men crept into the midst of the believers. They turned God’s grace into godless deeds and actions. These people thought it okay to be Christian and walk in the deeds of the flesh. By doing so, these so-called believers were denying our Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Their very actions and deeds denied the fact they knew our Lord Jesus Christ, Let alone the Father.
Stand up in God’s Grace and be found in our Lord. Be counted for righteousness and truth. Don’t let anything get you down, but if it does; seek the Lord. Plant your banner of truth in the foundation of Christ Jesus and stand no matter what.
May the Lord Jesus Christ establish and strengthen you for the days ahead.
