Faultless to Stand before the Lamb
Faultless to stand before the Lamb, this is the intention of the Lord God and our Father. The Son of God, Jesus Christ [Yeshua HaMassiach] came so that we would obtain mercy and find grace so that we could be faultless before him. The issue of redemption, our salvation, and all a Christian stands for will be vindicated one day. The hopes and dreams of Christian Fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will be revealed one day; as our earnest hope in Christ Jesus will happen. It shall be fulfilled one day. The enemies of Christians, no matter who they are, will be put down. Now to the world all these words are fairy tales. But let me tell you that although we live in Perilous and wicked times, we do not stand in this world; we stand in Jesus Christ.
One Pastor of the gospel was so loved by his congregation that they offered him the title to church building. The Pastor had spent his early life making cabinets and had a strong influence of another preacher by the name of John Hyatt. In England, those early years; Christianity was a sturdy influence, and the goal was to reach sinners and walk in holiness. Although England had many sinners that abounded, this Pastor by the name of Edward Mote so took to the passion of preaching and being a pastor, that he said to his congregation when offered the deed to the church “I do not want the chapel, I only want the pulpit; and when I cease to preach Christ, then turn me out of that”!
It was this preacher, Edward Mote who upon going to work one morning got an inspired idea. One pushed out of “living waters” that dwelt within him. I believe such inspiration does come from the Holy Spirit. On this morning he received the idea to write a hymn on the “Gracious experience of a Christian”. Thus, this hymn eventually appeared around the time of 1834. Mote writes that “I had the chorus” soon upon arriving at his work.
The Chorus went “On Christ the Solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand”! By the end of the day, he had the four first verses complete. Mote went on to finish the hymn and in a Letter to the Gospel Herald made an explanation of how the words and hymn came to be created and published.
There is no doubt; Christian life, Christian hope, and our Christian walk centers on Jesus Christ, “our Solid Rock”. In the shelter of his arms, we abide. However, we live in the darkness of an age when all things on earth seem changeable and exceedingly difficult. But we have an anchor; “which holds within the veil”. It is this anchor Mote wrote about. All this is built on God’s oath, his Word which has been given to us. It is here in the blood of the covenant, which will hold us firmly in the grasp of our God and our Savior so that the overwhelming flood of godlessness doesn’t swamp our ship.
One day as Jeremiah says, even Judah and the House of Israel will be united and walk together in the name of the Lord. It will be at Jerusalem where there shall be the throne of the LORD. It will be during the millennium that our God will rule reign for one thousand years fulfilling the prophecies given to David. After those years, the eternity of hope and of our Great God and Father and of our Savior Jesus Christ will bring in the everlasting time of heaven with him. The Heavenly Jerusalem will descend, the heavens and earth will be reborn, remade, and all things will be finished.
The Throne where All nations shall be gathered unto it!
(14) Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:
(15) And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
(16) And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.
(17) At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.
(18) In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.
It will be though here that all the nations of them that are saved shall be gathered unto the Lord. As well, Paul said that one day all those who have truly put on Christ and walked in Him by faith will be one. If you are Christ’s Paul says, then are ye Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise. You can no more separate your Jewish heritage as Gentiles than the Jews can separate the Gentiles from the Arm of Gods salvation in Christ Jesus. One day, though; we will all be one in Christ; Jew and Gentile [all those in the nations who are not Jews].
The point being here is that salvation will be completed, enmity shall be removed; and all those in our Lord will walk the streets of our Great God’s city, the heavenly Jerusalem. We will be one in Him, finally; and the evil that surrounds us will be vanquished.
Jer 3:14-18
You are all one in Christ Jesus
Gal 3:27-29
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Gal 3:27-29
Today though as you live your faith, no matter where you are on this planet there are enemies of the Gospel and of Christ Jesus. We live daily with their insults, unbelief, and hatred. In addition, we are swamped by filthy news, filthy and unclean acts, and unbelief in general. The world hates the Lord and hates the Son; in addition, the world hates the followers of Jesus Christ. But in all this hate, darkness, and unbelief; we can go to the throne of Grace. It is here we find God’s mercy and provision for us which comes to us in his Grace which is sufficient for us. It is filled with his favor, his love, and his redemption. He will keep us and no power on earth can take us out of his hand. No matter how evil they are, they cannot touch us so much that they separate us from the arm of Gods redemptive power. We can only be separated if we quit, if we fall into unbelief, and walk in fear. We are to be fearless, full of faith, and equipped by the Arm of the Lord. We are his servants and messengers to a wicked society and a wicked world that is in rebellion to him. They do not know the Father or the Son! We do and We win! We have overcome already, see Revelation 12:11; we are just waiting for the final portion of that to occur.
The Throne of Grace to obtain mercy and find Grace
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, which is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Heb 4:14-16
One thing that should make you shout for joy is the scripture itself which gives us a picture of the Throne of God and of the Lamb, the marriage supper of the Lamb, and the fact that one day “it will be done”! The redemption God brought to mankind will be finished just as the Devil and his minions will be finished. I so look forward to that and although today we see a divided world, a divided nation of people, and more chaos than you can shake a stick at; we will find that redemption will be fully ours to walk in.
We shall stand before the throne and the Lamb. We shall be clothed in white robes, which is the righteousness of the saints, and shall cry with loud voices of praise, honor, and glory; “Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.” Yes, that shall be the day of days when you and I gathered among a great multitude, no large that no man could number. This multitude shall come out of all nations on earth, making up kindreds of people from all tongues and nationalities. We shall be finally gathered in One name, unto our Great God and our Savior for a time of rejoicing, and the marriage supper.
A Great multitude before the Throne and the Lamb
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Rev 7:9-10
The Lord said in Matthew 26:29 that he would no more “drink of the fruit of vine” until he would drink it anew in the “Kingdom of God”, with those who were his. This gives us a picture that at the Wedding supper of the Lamb; we will have real “fruit of the vine” and the supper shall be the finest of feasts there is. We do not know all the details, but again we know that a ‘Great multitude’ shall be there and raise their voices in praise, giving honor to the Lord God and to the Lamb. We again shall be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white; the linen is the righteousness of the saints, and you can believe this will be the whitest and most glorious white you can ever think about. We shall shine on that day with our God, and we shall be as the stars in heaven giving glory to the Lord. Think on this!
The Marriage supper of the Lamb
Rev 19:5-10
And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
(8) And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Rev 19:5-10
But there is one catch here, you must overcome all things. First John chapter five and verse four tells us that the victory that overcomes the world, is our faith. Our Faith must be in our Lord God and our savior Jesus Christ; Yeshua HaMassiach. We must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. We must believe in the gospel, the Savior and Lamb of God, our redemption, and the work on the cross. In short you must have received the Lord, see John 1 and be born again by the Spirit of God see John 3. In addition, repentance and confession of sin, Read Romans chapters 3-6. The one in whom we believe is the Alpha and Omega and everything in between. He will give us the water of life freely, but friend you must be thirsty. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. But the “fearful, unbelieveing, abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolators, liars will have a share of the fire and brimstone which is the second death.
The Lord did not create the fire and brimstone for man; he made it for the devil and his angels. Yet for all man is, he seeks after darkness and refuses to come to the light according to the Lords warning in John chapter 3.
It is Done, He that overcometh shall inherit all things.
And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Rev 21:6-8
Make sure you know that all this will be finished one day. Just as the Lord said on the cross “It is finished”, so he will say “It is done”. The redemption of those who have come to him will be finished and the world as we know it will be over. It will be a new heaven, a new earth, and a place where we will be with our God and he will be with us. Just as Adam walked in the cool of evening with the Lord God; so too, we will be with our God and walk with him throughout all eternity. There will be no night, no curse, nor death where we will be. We shall serve our God and he shall take care of us. We shall be kings and priests unto our God and Savior.
The Throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it!
Rev 22:1-5
And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
Rev 22:1-5
My friends, rejoice today! No matter what you are going through; the hope we have is built on the blood and righteousness of Jesus Christ. We are found in him, and we stand in him. No matter the flood of ungodly or the ways of the wicked; we are his. For As the hymn goes: “On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand”! Just as the hymnist wrote so long ago, so too; we must understand that our hope and help is found in Jesus Christ and no other.
Shalom, my friends until next time.
Here is the song, “On Christ the solid Rock I stand”! Note here “All other ground is sinking sand”!
Where do you stand today?
Christ the solid Rock I stand
My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name.
On Christ the solid Rock I stand, All other ground is sinking sand; All other ground is sinking sand.
When darkness seems to hide His face, I rest on His unchanging grace. In every high and stormy gale, My anchor holds within the veil.
His oath, His covenant, His blood, Support me in the whelming flood. When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my Hope and Stay.
When He shall come with trumpet sound, Oh may I then in Him be found. Dressed in His righteousness alone, Faultless to stand before the throne.

Thanks Watchman…I do remember singing that hymn many times; a good one! I like the old hymns, not this contemporary church music. Yes indeed, the offer that the Lord lays on the table, is freely given for all to partake in. Unfortunately, as you have pointed out, the world does not want to partake in the Grace of God. They just love to wallow in their filth, so they want it. And a lot of these hedonists are proclaiming “themselves” to be gods; unbelievable. So much blasphemy, as they throw off any biblical constraints, and proclaim themselves “free.” Worldly lusts, with no hint of conscience, no hesitation on their part at all. Sinful pride. It is with great expectation, that true believers are looking forward to Jesus taking His rightful seat on the throne. What joyful shouting will be done during that glorious time!! The Lord’s love and peace to you and Tower…Amen.
Yep George, the old hymns have heart and soul, deep down redemption yearning for the Lord God. Today we are so far removed from where we should be. In the UK they had over 400 plus mosques built and 500 churches shuttered… When you reject the truth, all you have is a lie plus judgment. Peace, blessings and love in Christ Jesus to you and yours; the Watchman n Tower
Thanks Watchman…originally published in 2017, just as relevant today…even more so!! Jesus and His Father is all that we can turst in, NOTHING else in this world, JUST THE LORD!!
