Bedrock Hope Foundation Truths
Relevant, today many are working to remove bible authority from every vestige of society. Even the Vatican is at odds with scripture. Yet if you want truth and nothing but the truth; where do you go? One answer, the bible! It is relevant, but only to those who know the WORD revealed in John chapter one.
It is that WORD who was sent by his Father to a lost and dying world. His light went into the world and the Darkness comprehended it not. Today, that darkness is saturated and can be found from the Pulpit to the Seminary to the bible schools of America. It is also in society itself. Religion is viewed by many as being the same universal truth with various religions all getting man to the same place. We find that the truth has come; it is John who reveals this truth. He was sent to testify that this one, the Lamb of God who taketh away the sin of the world was the Christ whom he baptized and told all that this was the very Christ. Further evidence is found in John chapter one, chapter three, chapter ten; just to name a few:
To as many as received him to them gave he power to become the Sons of God, even to those who believed on his name. John chapter one
Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waited for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him because we have trusted in his holy name. Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
Psa 33:18-22 Bedrock Hope in the LORD
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believed on him would not perish but have ever lasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. John chapter two. Further, the Lord says “I am the door of the sheep, all that every came before me are thieves and robbers. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, who’s own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.” John chapter ten
The experience of being a Christian and a Remnant believer is that you believe; truly! No manner of problems, persecution, coercion, hatred, false teachings, ridicule, and any other storm will prevent or stop you from serving and testifying of your Lord. You believe and this can be difficult at times. The devil, the world, and even so-called Christian brothers and sisters throw darts and trouble in your path. Sometimes as our Lord found out, those enemies are the ones found in your own house, your own church, and your own country.
Hope not ashamed
We believe, against Hope; we believe. Yet as we believe, we do so because we do have Hope. A hope the world cannot know, for the world does not know him; whom we serve. If you ever doubted that the Lord is both a righteous God and one who will not tolerate sin; but also, is one who is full of mercy and grace; just read or listen to John. John gives a testimony that this WORD which came is also the ‘incarnate WORD’ of God. He is God in the flesh and came to save us. His salvation is true, His Lordship is everlasting, and His Judgment is pure and righteous. He is the Light, while darkness along with religiosity were the enemies of this pure Light, the Son of God; Jesus [Yeshua] Christ.
Therefore, it is true that at one time we were without HOPE. You and I were enslaved, in sin, and knew not the Son of God. But today, I know this Son of God and His Father. I know His Spirit, His WORD, and know that He surrounds me and my family with angelic presence to deliver me and keep me. So dear brother and sister in Christ, the question is now; do you really know HIM?
Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Eph 2:11-13 Hope: One time without Hope, now we have come near to HIM!
It is here in this avenue of Hope that as we do seek Him, he gives us his favor and diligence of mercy as we pursue Him. We have a Hope, an eternal flame that will not be quench by mortal, devil, or spirit. We have a Hope not ashamed because when we sought Him, he filled us with the Love of God. When the Holy Ghost filled us in our birth spiritually, the love of the eternal God filled our being. We knew that we knew him. For His Spirit bore witness that we were the Sons of God.
Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Rom 5:1-5 Hope: Love of God shed abroad in our hearts
Saved by Hope
We are saved by Grace through Faith. We have faith, in Him; for we cannot please God without faith. As we recon him alive and being real, and as we seek His face; he rewards us for our diligence in so doing. Thus, as this new redemption is fueled by God’s grace and mercy, the vehicle was through our believing or faith that God did exist and he did send His Son to save us. We simply believed and sought him. This opened Gods flood gate of redemption. It is that blessing of redemption and the Spirit of God along with Gods WORD that propels us into HOPE. This Hope is redemptive because it targets that Hope beyond the veil of humanity, flesh, the world, and all the five senses. It is redemptive because it creates in us a Hope which longs for the day our Lord arrives. It is Hope, really because we have not seen HIM or the Father, or Heaven. If had seen all these things, if we regularly went back and forth to heaven; then this Hope we have as the redeemed have would be the same hope. For we were without God, alone in the world, separated from eternal redemption. But now we eye the threshold of Heaven and the heavenlies where our God moves and Christ rules. We along with creation groan and travail in pain waiting for the Son of God. We are tired of sin, debauchery, lies, darkness, and all the entrapments of this world. We want peace, joy, love, and the Son of God and the Father of Lights to be with us.
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Rom 8:22-25 Hope: Redemptive Hope
Moreover, we live with our Hope in Christ and view life beyond this one. But as the Apostle Paul says, “If we have hope in Christ in this life alone” we will be miserable. If we can only have faith, hope, love, and know this Messiah; the Son of God in this life only and there be no eternal life; then all this is vain and useless. I don’t want Christ for this life alone, I want Christ Jesus for all eternity. I want to know that beyond this body of death there is life.
Therefore, people’s lives which are full of misery and suffering can be assured that there is Hope beyond this life and the grave through Jesus Christ. Yes, there are good things in the world; man has so much potential for good things, but the fact is that man has potential for evil. We can live a good life in this world, but the real Hope and real life is beyond this one through Christ Jesus. We are not to love the world or the things in the world. Our stay is temporary, but our eternal Hope is forever in Jesus Christ to the glory of the Father.
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
1Co 15:19-20 Hope: Our Hope in Christ is beyond this life
It is imperative that as a Remnant believer our faith and the fire of our Hope burn brightly and does not dim. We must be found in Him and in him through faith we can make it in this world. It is that Hope in the gospel of Christ that we move. It is in our Lord that we are connected to the Father and he to us. It is this gospel that in the last days; called the Love of the Truth Paul says in 2 Thessalonians chapter two that the world will reject. It is here that we must not move away from the Hope of the Gospel which gives us the Hope of eternity through Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMassiach. Our Hope must be anchored in Him by faith, and we must be grounded and settled so that we never move away from our eternal Hope.
In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister.
Col 1:22-23 Hope: If you continue in the faith and not moved away from that Hope of the gospel.
But make no mistake, we look for the arrival of the Blessed Hope. We do not recognize the permanency of the world or its systems. As the coming of the Lord draws nigh, let us do as Paul told Titus; to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts. In other words, as Christ is coming soon, see his words in Revelation 22; let us live soberly [awake, knowing our duties, knowing we are in faith, ready to make our testimony of Christ and our stand in Him to all who come against us]. We are to live righteously and godly; in short as He walked in the light; let us walk in that same light. Walking as Jesus Christ walked and pursuing his example until we see him break the sky above us.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Tit 2:11-15 Hope: Looking for that blessed Hope
In conclusion, know that our desire to serve the Lord Jesus Christ will make enemies. It is here John said, “now are we the sons of god”; yes today! Our completion is not yet accomplished, but we are his sons and daughters. It is here that we do not know the full scope of what we will be like. However, John again tells us that “when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” That is the completion of what our God and Father has wanted all along. It is that which Jesus Christ died on the cross for our atonement, his blood being the atonement for our sins. To wit, our redemption and following restoration as the Sons of God.
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore, the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
1Jn 3:1-3 Hope: Hope in Christ Jesus Purifies the Believer
Bedrock Hope: The Kingdom of God
Thus, my friends; our Bedrock Hope is Jesus Christ. It is Jesus Christ that the world cannot receive, but we can. It is that HOPE which will bring Jesus Christ to judge the world, put down sin, and bring in the completion of all things.
Then shall come the end when Jesus Christ shall have delivered up the Kingdom to God, even the Father!
But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward, they that are Christ’s at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father, when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Thanks Watchman…yes, it is by faith and hope that we do await His coming. We are tired of the sin, debauchery of this vile/repugnant world. But the world does not understand our hope. A few years ago, I was reading some of the writings of Ayn Rand, and her Objectivist philosophy. From a worldy stand point, a lot of it made sense. But once I came to faith in the most high God, she derisively called us “mystics.” Since her 5 senses did not allow her to have faith in someone or something unseen, she dismissed the probability of God all together. How sad, for the judgement is reserved for those who will not repent through faith. The Lord’s peace for you and Tower…Amen.
